Wellbeing Walks
Part of our Access to Adventure Programme
Wellbeing Walks take place every second Friday throughout the autumn and winter months as part of our Access to Adventure Programme. These free guided sessions are designed to help people take a step away from the pressures and stresses of everyday life by spending quality time outdoors. The walks offer a great opportunity to discover new places, learn more about the local environment, and build confidence in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Whether you're looking to explore the outdoors for the first time, or are an experienced walker interested in meeting new people, these sessions are open to people of all backgrounds and experience levels. Walks will vary in length depending on the location, and can be varied to ensure suitability for the group.
Healthy snacks will be made available by your guide, but it is advised you bring your own lunch to enjoy during the walk.
👨👩👧👦 Activity Guidelines
It is advised that participants have a reasonable level of fitness to attend the walks - the focus will be on walking at a gentle pace and enjoying the environment, but participants should be happy walking 2-3 hours in total.
Sessions run from 10:00 - 14:00, starting and finishing at the centre. The centre minibus may be used to access different locations in the local area.
Everyone attending the session must have a booking, we cannot accept on-the-day sign ups.
Children must be aged 8+ to attend due to the nature of the walks, and must be accompanied by an adult.
