Join us at the crag for an introduction to rock climbing and abseiling. After meeting your instructor, you'll be fitted with a harness and helmet before taking part in a safety briefing and learning how to use the equipment correctly.

We'll begin with climbing, giving you the chance to develop your confidence on the rock face while learning the basics of movement, balance and technique. Our instructors will coach you throughout, helping you make the most of your climb and progress at a pace that suits you.

Once everyone has had a chance to climb, we'll turn our attention to abseiling. After learning the technique and practising under close supervision, you'll take on a full 10-metre descent, controlling your own speed as you make your way back to the ground.

Everyone will have the opportunity to complete at least one climb and one abseil during the session, with time for additional attempts or extra challenges where possible. With small group sizes and plenty of hands-on activity, it's a fantastic way to experience two of the most popular adventure sports in a single session.

All specialist equipment is provided, although you're welcome to bring your own climbing shoes if you have them.

Mixed-group activity - This is a public session and participants should expect to take part alongside other individuals, families and groups who have booked onto the activity. Sessions are not exclusive to a single booking unless otherwise stated.

Parent/carer onsite - Any participant under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult, who must remain onsite throughout the session. This is not a drop-off activity. Parents/carers remain responsible for their child at all times; instructors are present to deliver the activity and are not acting in a childcare or pastoral role.
