Family Activity & Wellbeing Days

Part of our Access to Adventure Programme

Family Wellbeing & Activity Days take place once a month throughout the autumn and winter months as part of our Access to Adventure Programme. These affordable sessions are designed to help families spend quality time together outdoors, try new activities, build confidence, and enjoy fun, low-pressure adventures in a welcoming and supportive environment.

For just £2 per person, you'll enjoy a full day of outdoor activities, with opportunities to take part in a mix of paddlesports, archery and bushcraft throughout the day. Whether you're looking to explore the outdoors for the first time or simply enjoy a day out together, these sessions are open to families of all backgrounds and experience levels.

These are family sessions, designed for adults and children to take part side by side. At least one adult must be booked onto the session with their family and remain onsite throughout the day. Parents and carers must be present while their children are participating in activities and are encouraged to get involved wherever possible. The focus is on families learning, exploring and having fun together, rather than children taking part independently.

Each session runs from 10:00 until 14:00, giving families plenty of time to try new activities, meet others, learn new skills and make lasting memories together.

Healthy snacks, hot drinks and a hearty serving of hot soup are provided throughout the day. A heated indoor space will be available throughout the day, alongside our campfire area, giving families plenty of opportunities to relax, warm up and enjoy refreshments between activities.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Activity Age Guidelines

  • Everyone attending the session must have a booking, including all spectators, participating adults and children. Children under 5 years old may attend without a ticket but must remain under the supervision of their parent or guardian at all times

  • Children aged 5-8 years can take part in bushcraft activities and are welcome to spectate during other activities.

  • Archery is available for participants aged 7+.

  • Watersports activities are available for participants aged 8+.

  • Children who are not old enough for a particular activity are welcome to enjoy the campfire, social spaces, refreshments and other family activities with their accompanying adult.

🏹 Activities

Every Family Wellbeing & Activity Day includes a varied programme of activities, with opportunities to try paddlesports, archery, bushcraft and seasonal outdoor challenges. Activities will vary throughout the year, giving families the chance to enjoy new experiences and adventures together at each session.

Families can sign up for activity sessions on a first come, first served basis when they arrive. Registration opens from 10:00am, giving families time to check in, grab a drink, and choose their preferred activities for the day.

There will be two activity blocks:

  • Morning Session: 10:30am - 12:00pm

  • Afternoon Session: 12:30pm - 2:00pm

This flexible approach allows families to choose the activities that interest them most while ensuring everyone has plenty of time to enjoy the campfire, refreshments, social spaces, and time together between sessions.
