Twechar Youth Programme

We’re running a series of activity sessions for Twechar youth across the rest of the year.

We want to get local young people into the centre, outdoors, and trying things they might not normally get the chance to do!

  • Minimum age: 8+ — The minimum age for participation is 8 years old.

  • Parent/carer onsite — A parent or guardian must arrive with the young person and remain onsite for the full duration of the activity.

  • Appropriate conduct — Participants must be able to follow instructions and engage safely. If we have reason to believe a young person is under the minimum age or unable to meet participation requirements, they will not be permitted to join the session.

🎒 What to Bring

Please ensure your young adventure comes prepared, they will need a minimum of:

  • Weather‑appropriate outdoor clothing

  • Waterproof jacket & trousers

  • Water bottle

For Paddlesport Sessions please also bring:

  • Full change of clothes

  • Towel

  • Spare shoes (close toed and secure, no crocs, sliders or flip flops)

Please avoid bringing valuables or mobile phones - we will ask that all phones that are bought along are left inside a locker for the duration of the session.

🩺 Medical and Additional Needs

We welcome young people with a wide range of needs and will always do our best to support them. If your child has medical requirements, allergies, or additional support needs, please share this during booking or contact us in advance so we can plan appropriately. All medication must be clearly labelled and handed to staff at drop‑off. Unfortunately our staff are unable to administer medication.

🛡️Safety & Supervision

All activities are delivered by qualified instructors. To keep sessions safe and enjoyable, we rely on participants being able to follow instructions and engage positively. Instructors lead the activity itself, but the responsibility for a young person’s general conduct and readiness to take part remains with their parent or carer, who must stay on site to provide support if needed.

🎫 Important Booking Note

Only young people with a confirmed booking will be able to participate. We cannot accept on‑the‑door sign‑ups on the day.
