A group of people paddleboarding on a narrow river surrounded by autumn trees, with a sidewalk and road running alongside.

Learn to paddleboard on the Forth & Clyde Canal, just 20-minutes from Glasgow, with a full‑day course designed to help you feel balanced, confident, and ready for your own adventures on the water.

We’ll start with a quick introduction before getting you kitted out and comfortable on with your board and equipment, then we will guide you through the essentials—how to launch safely, find a stable stance, and use efficient paddling strokes to move and turn with ease. As your confidence grows, we’ll help you refine your balance, explore different positions and movement on the board, and learn simple self‑rescue skills that keep you safe on sheltered water.

After some practice time, we’ll head out on a journey along the canal, giving you the chance to put everything together at your own pace, and for you to learn practical and transferable journeying skills. Your coach will keep things fun and relaxed, with optional challenges and plenty of support throughout the day.

By the end of the session, you’ll feel comfortable standing, paddling, and manoeuvring your board, with the knowledge you need to paddle safely and independently.

Once you’re back on dry land, you can warm up with our hot showers and enjoy a tea or hot chocolate before you head off.
