Experience the freedom and fun of stand‑up paddleboarding on our relaxed SUP Adventure along the Forth & Clyde Canal. This session is perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy the water while learning how to balance, steer, and glide with confidence.
Your adventure begins at our canal‑side activity hub, where we’ll get you kitted out and introduce the essentials — from how to stand up safely to the simple paddle strokes that keep you moving smoothly. We take things at your pace, helping you find your balance and get comfortable with the unique feel of Paddleboarding. Expect a few wobbles, plenty of laughs, and that brilliant moment when everything clicks and you’re gliding along with ease.
Once you’re confident on the board, we set off on a gentle journey along the canal. As we travel, you’ll pick up easy skills that help you move smoothly along the canal, steer with more control, and stay balanced and relaxed on your board. We keep the session light and enjoyable, adding small challenges or playful moments to make the experience memorable.
Back at the hub, you can warm up with our hot showers and enjoy a tea or hot chocolate before heading off.

Clothing: Please wear suitable lightweight and warm clothing that you do not mind getting wet, it is quite likely you will fall in at some point! We will not be travelling to far so for those that do get cold easily it is not far back to the shore to get warm again. If you do have your own wetsuit or waterwear, please feel free to bring it!
Footwear: Securely attached and close toed footwear is required to, so unfortunately no crocs, flip flops or sandals! We can not see what is on the bottom of the lochs and rivers, and we do not recommend using bare feet to find out.
Weather: Our sessions will go ahead in all but the most inclement weather, so make sure you bring your waterproofs, a sun hat, and plenty of water to stay hydrated, this way you will be prepared for whatever weather Scotland throws our way.

This activity will take place at our riverside activity hub Twechar Outdoor Pursuits!
